You know what the Pope's real motive was?

I'd seen this in a comment at a liberal blog, but today found a link to an op-ed...

Pope Benedict's real motive in inciting Muslim fury (because he really intended to do so, you know) was obvious: he did it to help Bush and the Republicans in the mid-term elections.

The guys at The Onion couldn't come up with stuff like this.

I commented on the same op ed the other day. I also mentioned I had to check the url to make sure I hadn't wandered onto the Onion.

Good analysis, Religion of Pieces.

Especially your last point, as I have it from another blogger on good authority that many museums and other institutions in Europe are quietly making plans to ship pieces of art to American museums in advance of destruction by the Muslims that have taken over - much in the same way they destroyed Buddhist art.

Those pieces that cannot be moved - like the Rose Window at Notre Dame - are being cataloged in detail so that they can be re-created at a later date.
